As part of a new initiative by AkzoNobel, the Human Cities Selfie Compeition is organised globally to encourage people to embrace what they love about their favourite urban space. One lucky winner will win a pair of all-expenses- paid tickets to Venice, Italy to experience Human Cities by helping to transform a Venetian piazza, similar to the attached Burano city landscape. The challenge, which closes on 30 June 2014, is open to entrants aged 18 years and above.

Everyone are welcome to join this unique challenge either by sharing a selfie via Instagram or Twitter using #myurbanstory and @AkzoNobel, or submitting the selfie image to the special tab on AkzoNobel's Facebook page. You are also encouraged to include a few brief words explaining the story behind the shot, as seen in a screenshot from the publicity video. The participant with the most impressive urban story and selfie will win the competition and be notified in July 2014.

Just give it a shot to win a pair of all paid tickets to Venice, Italy. It's not just winning a pair of ticket but also experience Human Cities by helping to transform a Venetian piazza.

The 4*Star L'Hotel Causeway Bay Harbour View hotel is near MTR Tin Hau, just 2 mins walk. There is total of 275 guest rooms and suites. 

My Personal view of the hotel

1. L'Hotel is right opposite Tin Hua Metro Station. It saves a lot of time to walk to Metro station. 

   Direction: From Airport -> Airport Express to Hong Kong Station -> Central ->   Tin Hau Station           -> Exit A1

Taxi -> Many of the taxi drivers are not sure of this L'Hotel causeway Bay Harbour View Hotel located at. It's best to tell the taxi driver that it's near at Tin Hau Station. 

2. There are a few shops nearby the area even 24 Hours 7-evelen. If you are hungry, there are a few shops that open 24 hours such as Dim Sum and MacDonald. There is a few great desserts shop too!  ("I miss their mango sago dessert").

3. The room that I stayed was Harbour View. The room was clean and quite spacious. However, the toilet was quite dirty. There is no free wifi in the room, so there is a charge if you want wifi. The only place that had free wifi was at Lobby.

4. You need deposit 500 HKD per room.

5. The staffs were friendly and helpful. The cleaner even greet me every morning. It brightens up my day. 

6. 20 mins walking distance to Causeway Bay if you don't mind to walk rather than taking MTR.  

7. You can even take "Ding-Ding" tram to Causeway Bay which is directly in front the hotel.

8. The lift in the Hotel was too slow and it's also can't even allow more than 7 people in the lift.

Review

This was my second time visiting Bangkok, Thailand. I had chose this hotel because it was affordable and good location to the shopping paradise. If you first time visiting Bangkok, maybe this hotel slightly hard to find. It's because it located at the alley. 

The staffs were friendly and greeted us.

We checked-in the our room within 5 mins. We had booked standard twin. 

Good - 1. The room is spacious and neat.

            2. Two drinkable bottles provided ( Daily )

            3. Room always clean after room service

Bad - 1. The toilet ceiling is too low

          2. The toilet is so small

          3. The bed was hard and uncomfortable.

The location is convenient and is accessible to the Airport Link Ratchaparop station. A walking distance to Patrunam market, Baiyoke Sky, Platinum and many more. 20 mins walk to the Siam.

Travelling the Malay Peninsula by train

Normally we get hook on riding fancy cars or accumulate on riding buses that are quick, cheap and efficient. But riding these are a pain in the neck, when long hours journey, we can't simply complain in agony about long hours being cramp inside an uncomfortable bus if it were not an express or a car that does not do justice too. Taking a plane maybe it's the best solution behind these two modes but it's not taking anywhere near to our destinations. So where do we look at? Taking the train!

Keretapi Tanah Melayu or in short " KTM" is the sole operator for the tracks that runs through the Malay Peninsula in Malaysia. Based in Kuala Lumpur, it's distance are on 1,677KM in length and a track gauge of 1,000mm that's considerable as metre gauge compared to other countries. Having a reasonable comfortable speed and fares that are generally reasonable too, their low frequency of the intercity trains does not usually make them competitive with other modes of transportation. But despite of that, one does not simply enjoy by taking the scenic scenes running through the Malaysia countryside.

Air-Condition First Class. You may be able to find on some selected services.

Air-Condition Economy Class (AEC) .  I would not recommend much on taking "Shuttle" services as it's uncomfortable to some at an extend that it's not air-condition all the time.
